Mine Superintendent

The Mine Superintendent will facilitate start-up of pre-strip (dragline/truck) operations in a brownfields, CIS setting
After 2 1/2 years, ore/waste (truck/shovel) mining and prestripping (dragline/conveyor) will continue concurrently
Total annual production will ramp up to 100 Mtpa over 7 years
The Mine Superintendent will:
- Manage a team of national foremen and operators
- Establish a safety culture at a production crew level
- Implement western operating practices in a former Soviet-style work environment
- Ensure compliance with applicable local laws and regulations
- Achieve production targets
- Train national supervisors
- Identify and mentor a national successor
- Be eligible for registration for work in Ukraine as a mining supervisor
- Have Russian language skills or a proven ability to work in a multi-cultural, foreign language environment
