Mining Engineer

Responsible for design and management of coal exploration and evaluation projects
Key Responsibilities:
· Design and management of coal advanced exploration and evaluation projects to pre-feasibility level.
· Due diligence assessments of potential acquisitions and joint ventures
· Interpretation of complex coal analyses (chemical and physical tests) and other data in assessing bituminous and sub-bituminous coal types for coking, thermal and other uses e.g. CTG, CTL.
· Design of coal analytical programmes and flow sheets including pre-treatment, float/sink and other test work.
· Manage of new coal opportunities
· Manage according to Company HSE, business integrity and other relevant standards
· Provide direction to Project teams working on coal in various countries.
· Management of consultants where necessary
· Qualifications and Experience Required
· Graduate with at least 10 years coal experience
· Membership of AusIMM or equivalent body and preferably coal "Competent Person" status.
· Specific country knowledge
· Russian/English language skills would be advantageous
· Good IT skills, comfortable with data management, analysis and presentation
· Abilities Required:
· Good communication skills at all levels.
· Ability to plan strategically and manage budgets effectively
· Self motivated and able to work autonomously, but a strong team player
· Able to manage complexity and ambiguity. Innovative and good under pressure.
· Maintain focus on long term horizons while delivering short term objectives
· Ability to travel frequently
